WILLIAM F. GRAY

HORROR

William F. Gray is a horror author that grew up in Northern Virginia. Pulling from his experience of growing up in a dysfunctional family that struggled with substance abuse, he set out to write his debut novel in 2018. The Man Behind the Door came as a result: a ghost story partially inspired by his own father's struggle with trauma, grief, and addiction, and the subsequent effect it has on the people left behind. It was self-published in 2022.

The Man Behind the Door was followed by The Devil Within Us All and Our Fathers' Burden, the former of which was an Amazon bestseller. Both novels were released by Wicked House Publishing, who is also releasing his next novels It Sleeps Below and Still Watches the Night (cowritten with Blaine Daigle).

His latest release, Noro, was released by Cemetery Dance Publications in February of 2025. It features art from Glenn Chadbourne, who has worked with many great authors including Stephen King.

He currently lives in West Virginia with his wife, son, and daughter while working as a Lead Pharmacy Technician. His hobbies include reading, playing video games with his wife, and playing music. He is a current member of the Horror Writer's Association.
